"In Lima, a solemn ceremony of opening the qualification upgrade courses of MIA of Russia for officers of drug control departments of South America," the official representative of MIA of Russia, Irina Volk said.
The event was attended by A. Guskov Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Peru, A. Boyarov representative of the Russian MIA to the Republic of Peru, K. Macias Klaus Executive Chairman of the National Commission for Development and Drug-Free Living of the Republic of Peru, E.Loais Chief of Administration for Drugs Control of the National Police of the Republic of Peru and K. Beltran Vargas the Head of the Bureau of Technical Assistance and International Cooperation of the MIA of the Republic of Peru.
"During the two-week course of lectures and practice, the teachers of the All-Russian Institute of Qualification Upgrade for the Russian MIA officers and the Siberian Law Institute of Russian MIA will train policemen, prosecutors and customs officers from Peru and Brazil with advanced Russian experience in illicit drug trafficking control.
Russian drug control courses in Lima have a long history, during their existence more than 200 officers of various departments from 11 Latin American countries took part in them. They were considered by the leadership of the competent authorities of Peru and neighboring countries as a significant contribution to the illicit drug trafficking control in region ", said Irina Volk.
