Oleg M. Portashnikov

Chief of the Research Institute for Road Safety Problems of the Russian MIA, Colonel of Police

In 1993 he was accepted in The Police College of Internal Affairs General Administration in Moscow. In 1995 he continued his education at Law Institute of the MIA of Russia. He graduated from Academy of Management of the MIA of Russia in 2012.

Since 1999 he served in Directorate for Road Traffic Safety of the Central Administrative District in various positions.

Since 2000 to 2011 he served in Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety of the Russian Federation.

In 2011 he was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief of the division for information preparation, analysis and projection of Organizational and Analytical Department. Since 2012 - Chief of this division.

In December 2015 he was appointed Chief of the Research Institute for Road Safety Problems of the Russian MIA

During his service in the MIA he was awarded by State Medal «For Distinguished Service in Defense of Public Order», MIA Medals – «For Valor in Service», «For Military Cooperation», «For Distinguished Service» of 1, 2 and 3 class and a sign «MIA Honorary Officer».
