Andrey A. Kurnosenko

Chief of the General Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption, Police Major-General

Born on July 17, 1969 in Sevastopol.

Graduated from the Nakhimov Black Sea Naval Academy.

In 2001, he received a degree in jurisprudence at the Moscow State Social University.

He began his career in law enforcement in 1995 as Operations Officer in the Regional Administration for Combating Organized Crime under the Main Administration of Internal Affairs for Moscow.

From October 2006, he served in the General Administration of Internal Security of the Russian MIA.

In December 2012, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan.

In 2014 - 2015, he was Deputy Chief and later First Deputy Chief of the General Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the Russian MIA.

Subject to Decree of the President of Russia No. 657 dated December 23, 2015, he was appointed Chief of the General Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the Russian MIA.
