Pyotr L. Grishin

Chief of the Forensic Center, Police Lieutenant-General

Born on March 22, 1968 in Moscow.

In 1985 finished Secondary School No.45 in Moscow.

Started his career in 1985 as a computer operator at the Research Institute for Automated Equipment, where he worked until calling up for military service.

Military service in the Armed Forces of the USSR from 1986 to 1988.

From 1988 service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In 1992 finished the Moscow Higher Militia School of the MIA of Russia.

From 1992 to 2012 served at the Forensic Center of the General Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow. Then he ascended along the career ladder from forensic expert to Chief of the Center.

In 2001 defended a thesis of a candidate of legal sciences, topic: Legal and Organizational Problems of Technical and Criminal Support of Investigation and Solution of Crimes in Big Cities. Has over 20 scientific publications.

In 2002 graduated from the Russian Presidential Academy of Public Administration.

On August 2, 2012 by Presidential Decree, Pyotr L. Grishin was appointed First Deputy Chief, and on February 8, 2013 – Chief of the Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

A special rank of Major-General of Police was assigned to Pyotr L. Grishin by Presidential Decree dated June 11, 2014.

Subject to Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 276 dated 11.06.2016, Pyotr Grishin was awarded the special rank of Lieutenant General of Police.

Has government awards.

Has a title of the Honored Employee of the Internal Affairs Administration.

Has a wife and two sons.
