Pavel A. Vazhev

Chief of the Main Informational and Analytical Center, Major-General of Internal Service

Pavel A. Vazhev was born on August 24, 1964 in Ramenskoe.

Graduate of the Orel Higher Military Command School of Communication and the Law Institute of the MIA of Russia.

Became a senior officer in operational subdivisions of the Internal Affairs General Administration for the Moscow Region.

Has served at the Central Staff of the MIA of Russia from 1990. Focused on the problems of public security in emergency and during counter-terrorism operations.

From 1999 to 2011 – Deputy Chief of the Emergency Department of the RF MIA Staff (General Organization and Inspectorate Department), Chief Inspector of the MIA of Russia.

Repeatedly went on business trips to local armed conflicts, organized operation of law enforcement authorities in field conditions. Has government awards. From June 2003 Major-General of Militia.

On June 26, 2011 by Presidential Decree, a rank of Major-General of Internal Service was assigned to Pavel A. Vazhev. He then was appointed Chief of the Federal Budgetary Institution – Main Informational and Analytical Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Has a wife and a daughter.
