Chief of the General Administration for Transport, Lieutenant-General of Police, Dmitry V. Sharobarov was born in 1956 in Tantsirei Village of the Voronezh Region. After graduation from a road building academy and service in border-security forces he started his service in the criminal investigation unit of militia at Moskva-Kazanskaya Station.
During the seventeen years of service from 1981 to 1998 Dmitry V. Sharobarov developed from militia officer of a group combating criminal infringement on cargo to Deputy Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Moscow Internal Affairs Administration in Railway Systems of the MIA of Russia. In 2002 headed the criminal militia of this Administration.
From 2004 has served in the Central Staff of the Ministry. He was appointed First Deputy Chief of the MIA Law Enforcement Department for Transport.
In 2010 Dmitry V. Sharobarov was appointed Chief of the MIA General Administration for Transport. Continues his service in the same position after reformation and reattestation.
On November 9, 2011 a rank of Lieutenant-General of Police was assigned to Dmitry V. Sharobarov by Presidential Decree number 1481.
Awards: the Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” 2 class, the Medal “For Distinguished Service in Defense of Public Order”; several times was distinguished by the Management of the MIA of Russia.
